Our plan is to broaden and improve our product offering, for example by introducing greater differentiation in product groups. This reflects our aim of providing customers with a better grip on their financial future through the provision of relevant products and services.

Integrity means in practice that employees of SNS REAAL have been properly trained to correctly perform their duty of care towards the clients. But it also means that SNS REAAL wants to treat all internal and external business contacts, colleagues and business alike, with integrity. Integrity is equally important with regard to our products, which must satisfy requirements of due care and relevance to our customer.
In order to guarantee the integrity of the employees, SNS REAAL conducts a Pre-employment Screening (PES) before employees are hired.  This includes:

Verifying the identity card;

Completion by the (prospective) employee of a 'Personal Integrity Statement';

Verifying credentials with former employer(s) in writing or otherwise;

Checking the national bank and insurance registers;

Supplying a 'Certificate of Good Conduct' ('VOG').

The above acts will obviously not be performed until we have received written approval to do so from the (prospective) employee.

SNS REAAL has always accorded a high value to doing business in a socially responsible way. This is reflected in our development of sustainable products in the area of savings, investments and insurance. In addition, SNS REAAL performs specialised social investment research. The SNS REAAL Fund demonstrates SNS REAAL's social involvement by providing financial support to projects valuable to society at large.
