In our genes
We’ve been engaged in corporate sustainability for many generations.
We started as a savings bank for the ‘common’ people, and as an insurer for trade union members. Those roots are still visible today. They laid the foundation for our activities. And they are reflected in our mission: Simplicity in finance.

Weet Wat Je Besteedt
You can't spend it unless you earn it first.
We initiated the project ‘Weet wat je besteedt’, or Stay on Top of your Spending, focusing on young people. Together with other parties we are teaching young people to manage their money. For now and for later.

SNS REAAL is at the heart of society. This means that we listen to our customers and stakeholders to understand the real issues and needs.

One integrated online report
We have combined our financial annual report and corporate responsibility annual report into one online annual report.
This year, we have an integrated annual report: financial and corporate responsibility reporting merged in a single report. For us, this is a very logical thing to do because corporate responsibility lies at the heart of SNS REAAL, as it has been since its establishment 200 years ago. Corporate responsibility is not something we do on the side; it is embedded in our business.
